Adult Class Descriptions

Adult Classes are 8-week sessionals. Sessions begin Tuesday, September 21, 2010.

Adult Sessional classes will only run with a minimum of 6 students, so bring a friend! Adults who register for the entire 8-week session will receive priority for registration. Drop-in students are not guaranteed a place in class if it is full.

Our adult classes are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday Nights.

Dance FusionTry out some new dance styles and get a great workout! No experience is necessary. Dance
Fusion is a great choice for the first session as it will touch on several styles of dance. Participants can get a taste of something new as a different style is introduced every 2-3 classes. Some of the styles taught may include Street Jazz, Hip Hop, Latin & West African (or whatever Tana has up her sleeve) Class styles will be designed to suit the preferences of the participants.
Simply JazzThis class is designed for adults with some previous dance experience. Jazz is a fun-filled, heart-pumping workout that will make you sweat! You’ll leave class feeling energized and more flexible. The class will challenge you to improve your Jazz skills and technique while learning new combinations and progressions each week.
TapTap dancing is an energetic dance style where participants learn rhythm, style and technique through percussive footwork. Tap develops strong co-ordination and a sense of timing and
musicality. This class is a lot of fun and one of the classic dance styles that’s seeing a resurgence in popularity!
SalsaSalsa is a hot and spicy Latin style of dance! Feel the rhythm and get ready to move your hips!
Salsa for TwoThis class offers twice the spice! Learn this exciting & exotic style of dance with your partner
without traveling to the city. Bring your man – push pull or drag!
YogaYoga is a comprehensive workout that focuses on both upper and lower body strength, balance and flexibility. Each class focuses on synchronizing breath and movement. The series places
emphasis on opening the hips where lower knee and back pain often originate. Yoga improves the major systems of the body, increasing health and vitality.

Dance Attire:

Comfortable fitness wear such as jazz pants, yoga pants and tank style top or t-shirts.
